Home Portfolio Design Center Packages/Payment FAQ's Contact Us

It's fairly simple:

  1. You decide on a package
  2. You visit the Design Center, read the information, soak it in, think about it for a while, then complete the Logo Quesitonnaire
  3. After you submit the questionnaire, we design initial concepts and send them to you for review
  4. You choose one concept, provide us with feedback and we make revisions until you're satisfied
  5. Once the Logo is finalized, you visit the Payment/Pricing Center and make your payment
  6. Once payment is received, we send you the Logo in a series of files you can use in a variety of ways
  7. At this point, if you're just purchasing the Logo, you're done!
  8. If you've chosen to have business cards, etc. designed, we would repeat steps 3-4 using the Logo as a basis
  9. Once you're satisfied with the additional designs, we send you the files for use.

Please see our packages for more detail.  Can’t find a package that suits your needs? Contact us and we may be able to agree on a custom package price.

No!  The package price always includes as many colors as you please.  As a general rule however, we recommend not using a billion colors in your logo, as it cuts down on printing costs, and also, it increases the odds that your logo will look good in black and white.

Not only do we want you to be happy with the initial design concepts, we want you to have a hard time choosing between them, whether your package includes 3, 4, or 6 initial designs.

If our initial design concepts are not satisfactory, and we can't improve any of them to your satisfaction through revision rounds, then you are free of all financial obligation.   If you really like one of the initial design concepts but you want to make changes to it, for example a different font or color or shape, etc. this can be done using one of your revision rounds.

Basically, your package will include a specified number of what we call “initial design concepts”.  After we’ve presented those to you, the idea is that you would pick one and if necessary, we would make changes to that design until you are completely satisfied.  Each round of changes is considered a “revision round”.

In a word: No.  That is why we cannot stress,  strongly enough, the importance of carefully reading the Logo Design Center suggestions, and spending some quality time deciding on what you like and don’t like before completing the Logo Questionnaire.   The more information you provide up front, the easier it is for us to understand your needs, which gives us the best chance of impressing you with our initial designs.

The idea is to use revision rounds to “tweak” one of the initial design concepts.  The reason we differentiate between the two is the vast difference in the amount of time it takes to create a new design, versus tweaking an existing design.

Has anyone ever run into this problem?  No, and we hope they never do.  Our goal is to “wow” you with our initial designs, so after reading your Logo Questionnaire, if we don’t quite grasp what you’re looking for, we’ll just keep asking questions until we do.  If you ultimately are not satisfied with the initial design concepts, and we can't improve any of them to your satisfaction through revision rounds, then you are free of all financial obligation.

It means that we want you to be satisfied with the logo you purchase.  Will we keep creating new designs every day for you until the end of time or until you find one you like, whichever comes first?  No.  This is why we continue to stress the suggestions in the Logo Design Center.   The intent is to get enough information up front that we can provide you with initial design concepts that make it difficult for you to decide between, because they are all so flippin’ sweet.

The purpose of “Unlimited Revisions” is to offer a tweak of color here, or a font change there, until you’re satisfied.  The purpose is not to completely redesign the initial design concepts, ad infinitum.    If you aren’t satisfied with any of the initial design concepts and after your revision rounds, (tweaks), you still aren’t satisfied, then you are free of all financial obligation.

In most cases, it takes 3-5 business days from completion of the Logo Questionnaire to prepare the initial logo design concepts. If you have not heard from us within that time, please contact us.

Once the initial logo design concepts are complete, we will ask you for your feedback. This is your chance to tell us exactly what you think, such as whether or not you like the style, colors, font, etc.

All of this communication can be done via E-Mail.

After we receive your feedback on our initial logo design concepts, we will use your comments to make revisions, if necessary, and narrow your choices down to the winning design.

Typically, no.  The reason for this, as stated in the Logo Design Center, is that we believe that logo design is, largely, a process, or journey, if you will.

Frankly, we never could understand the “speedy” marketing strategy that is used so often in this industry.  We ask you: In the end, is it more important to have a logo within 24 hours that you may not be completely happy with, or to take your time, communicate back and forth and keep revising until you have exactly what you want?  Remember, this is your business and your logo will be associated with your company for a long time.  We believe in quality and customer satisfaction over speed.

Does that mean you won’t receive your initial design concepts within 3-5 business days?  Absolutely not!  In some cases it may only take 1 business day, but in the interest of customer satisfaction, we’d rather do it right than chase a deadline and get it wrong.

Having said that, we’ll work within your time constraints.  What’s important to you, is important to us.

You will receive 20 files:

“GIF” format – (5 different sizes in color, 2 in black and white)

“PNG” format – (5 different sizes in color, 2 in black and white)

“TIFF” format – (1 in color, 1 in black and white)

“AI” format – (1 in color, 1 in black and white)

“EPS” format – (1 in color, 1 in black and white)

This should cover all of your needs, however if you need the logo in some other file format, please let us know and we’ll include that as well for no additional charge.

For best results, use the files as follows:

TIFF       TIFF files are excellent for displaying rasterized logo images on the web, but their downfall is their file size.  These files are not compressed like a JPG, so they end up being 10-20 times larger than JPG’s, which means they take up a lot of space and they are slow to load on your page.  (JPG’s or JPEG’s are great for use on the web, but are generally better for displaying photographic images rather than digital art such as business logos)  Don’t discount TIFF’s, however, logos can look stunning when saved as TIFF’s, you just don’t want to use them on the web.

PNG      The PNG format  is a great compromise between the JPG and the TIFF, which are both rasterized images.  The files are small like JPG’s, which means they load faster and take up less space, yet they are very comparable, in picture quality, to the TIFF.  This makes it an ideal format for use on the web, especially for graphic files (non-photographic) such as logos.  The bad news is, (at least for now), that not all browsers support PNG images.  This is becoming less and less of an issue, however, so depending on your experience and the browser, you can use either PNG or GIF.

GIF         This is a format that you can use if you find that you are having issues with viewing PNG files on certain browsers.  They have better quality than JPG’s for digital images, (not so much for photographic images), and the file sizes and loading speeds are about the same.   When in doubt, and PNG is not a viable option for you on the web, use GIF for graphics and logos, and JPG’s for photographic images.  (Since we are working with logos, we won’t include JPG’s in your package, as they are not necessary)

AI            AI is the format used by Adobe Illustrator, which is the most commonly used graphic “vector” art design program for professional designers.  The general public normally doesn’t have access to this program, so unless you’re a graphic designer or of their ilk, you won’t be able to open this file.  That’s OK though, you shouldn’t need to.  This is a layered editable “vector” format which can be used by professional printers to print your logo on business cards, signs, shirts, stationary and just about any other material you might want your logo to show up on.

EPS        EPS stands for Encapsulated PostScript.  it is a very versatile file vector format that can handle text, graphics and other images.  These are also used frequently by design specialists and generally not accessible for editing by the “average Joe”.  If you send your logo to a printer, they will probably ask for both the AI and the EPS formats of your logo.

Once we agree on the final design, your files will be E-Mailed to you.  Most of our clients have no issues with receiving files by E-Mail, but in the event that this is not an option for you, we will be happy to put the files on CD and mail them to you.  The cost for this is an additional $25 USD.  This charge is strictly to cover the cost of the materials and shipment.

There is a multitude of information on the web to answer this question, and you may want to spend a day or two reading it sometime.  For our purposes here, we’ll just say that when dealing with digital art such as logos, there is a noticeable difference.  Vector images have mathematical equations built into them so that your image information remains in tact when you “scale”, (resize), the image from smaller to larger and vice versa.  Raster files do not carry such information so when you enlarge them, they lose detail and can look “grainy”, or the lines and shapes do not appear to be as crisp and smooth.  Raster files are fine for web display or other such purposes, but it is not advisable to scale them up or down from their original size when doing so.  Design professionals use vector images for printing logos since they retain their original detail when resized.  Vector images are usually saved as EPS or AI files.

Yes!  Please see our packages for more details.

With input from you, we will incorporate your final logo into one design for each.  The final files you receive will be editable so that you can make changes to the names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. on each, as necessary.  Yes, this would include one revision round for each of the three formats before finalization.

There are many ways you can use the logo we provide. The logos and formats you will receive are great for:

Websites, Business cards, Banners, Presentations, Stationery, Uniforms, Posters, Decorating a Company Vehicle, Promotional Items.

The logo formats that you will receive are readily accepted by commercial printing agencies for professional printing. This gives you potentially unlimited uses for your logo design!

Yes! Once you receive your logo designs in the various formats that we provide you, they can be used instantly for almost any purpose you can dream of.

You can describe your ideas when you submit your Logo Questionnaire.

If you have a scanner, you can create a simple sketch of the design you have in mind and E-Mail it to us.

if you see something online that you like, send us the URL when you fill out the Logo Questionnaire, and we will incorporate some of the general themes into your initial logo designs.  Also, don’t be afraid to send us URL’s for things that you absolutely don’t like either.  This will help us stay away from concepts that won’t satisfy.

We are committed to your privacy.  Please see our Privacy Policy:

You do!  You will own the rights to the final purchased logo.  Once we transfer the files to you, you will have complete rights to the design.  If you would like, we can also place the copyright mark (©) or the trademark symbol (TM) on your logo.

We do reserve the right to display the logo in our online portfolio or any other marketing/promotional materials, now and in the future.

We will also retain the rights to all logo design concepts we create for you, that you ultimately reject. Yes we do. While we suggest that you make several backup copies on CD, (or other media), just in case, we keep a backup of our your logo for a limited period of time, just in case.  (Generally two years)  If you ever need another copy please contact us.

We do everything in our power not to infringe on any copyrighted material during the logo design process, and if we ever mistakenly do so, we will take whatever actions necessary to correct the oversight. See our Legal Terms and Conditions for more information.

That being said, we will not conduct an official trademark search on your behalf.  It will be up to you to perform such a search prior to finalizing a design concept with us.

We do not have a “Brick and Mortar” facility, so we are obviously not able to have guests over for tea…  One of the reasons we are able to keep our costs down is because we exist entirely online.  If we find we have communication issues via E-Mail, we would be more than happy to contact you by phone to discuss.  Sometimes, that’s the best way to clarify a design issue.

We will provide the EPS and AI files to you in your package.  These are editable with the right software.  Most people do not have access to software used by designers to edit such images, but if you do, then you will have the ability to make edits to your layered files.

Once you have approved the final design, we will provide you with the final files of ONLY the approved design.

However for a small fee we can provide you with additional files such as of the icon by itself, different layout (perhaps to fit your website), perhaps one version with a "TM" symbol and the other with out.

Your designer will let you know of the cost at the time of your request.

The absolute best way to ensure success in this process is by taking the following steps in order:

1) Read the information in the Logo Design Center

2) Spend some time pondering it

3) Take some time and review our Portfolio, or just scour the web to find inspiration.

4) Complete the Logo Questionnaire with as much detail as possible and submit

Once you’ve submitted the Logo Questionnaire to us, we should have enough information to get started on your logo.  If we run into questions, we’ll contact you for clarification.

Yes!  You should receive an E-Mail from us within 24 hours of submitting your order.  Most communication during the logo design process can be done via E-Mail.  If we have additional questions that are difficult to communicate via E-Mail, we’ll contact you by phone to discuss, but for the most part, there is rarely a need for this.
